<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrodeless discharge lamp and a lighting fixture using the same, with a starting voltage lowered with a simple structure without giving rise to cost hike. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The electrodeless discharge lamp is provided with a bulb 2 made of a tube body formed in a closed loop shape, cores 1L, 1R made of a magnetic body fitted to the bulb 2 penetrated by the same 2, and induction coils 3L, 3R wound around at least a part of each core 1L, 1R to generate an induction magnetic field. The induction coils 3L, 3R are each connected in parallel with a lighting circuit 4, with their high-voltage side wirings 3LH, 3RH positioned symmetrically to a center position of the bulb 2, respectively, and arranged over a whole periphery of the bulb 2.
