<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that no effective instrument is available despite the difficulty to read a newspaper in a narrow space such as a commuting train. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A holder has a first plate, a second plate, and a side connecting part for connecting the first and second plates together. At least the first plate is transparent, and the first plate and the side connecting part are connected together approximately linearly. The distance between the approximately linear connecting part and the second plate is 3 mm or below, and the first plate can rotate at least 90° around the approximately linear connecting part.
