The system (1) has a tube (R) or channel for exhaust gas supply in fire places. A resonator device (3) absorbs noise or sound of gases flowing in the tube in a flow direction. The resonator device comprises a Lambda quarter resonator (2) with an open end (5) and a closed end (6), where the resonator is arranged at an inner side of the tube. The resonator is arranged in such a manner that particle velocity (SL) of acoustic wave in the resonator at the open end exhibits same vectorial direction as particle velocity (SR) of the acoustic wave in the tube at height of the open end.
