<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device for appropriately developing by using a developer removal auxiliary member suitable for a developer carrier when non-magnetic one-component developer is used, and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device includes: a developer container 11 storing developer T composed of non-magnetic one-component toner; a development roll 12 for performing development to a photoreceptor drum 1; a developer supply roll 13 which supplies developer T to the development roll 12; and a developer regulating blade 14 which regulates a quantity of developer. An electrostatically implanted brush for sealing 15 having conductive brush bristles 15c electrostatically implanted into an adhesive 15b on a base material 15a, is disposed upstream of the developer supply roll 13 in the rotating direction of the development roll 12. The resistance value of the fiber of the conductive brush bristles 15c of the sealing electrostatic brush 15 is ≤10<SP>12</SP>(Ω/cm F), and the adhesive 15b is conductive. A potential equal to that of the developing roll 12 or a voltage in a direction in which developer charges are neutralized is applied to the conductive brush bristles 15c. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
