<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a propelling pencil wherein when a core tank 2 is pressed, the projection 2B of the core tank 2 is advanced while rotating along the inclined opening groove 8B of a shaft cylinder 8, thereby rotating a core 11. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The projection 2B is formed in the core tank 2, and an inclined opening groove 8B is formed in a shaft cylinder 8. The projection 2B of the core tank 2 is engaged with the opening groove 8B of the shaft cylinder 8, and the core tank 2 is pressed for advancing the projection 2B while rotating along the opening groove 8B of the shaft cylinder 8, and a chuck 1 is rotated together with the core tank 2, for delivering the core 11 while appropriately rotating.
