PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin care preparation that comprises an alkylresorcinol and has excellent temperature stability (especially high-temperature stability) and light stability. SOLUTION: The skin care preparation comprises (a) 0.01-5 mass% of an alkylresorcinol or its salt (4-isobutylresorcinol or its salt), (b) 0.01-5 mass% of an L-ascorbic acid derivative (a 2-O-alkyl-L-ascorbic acid, a 3-O-alkyl-L-ascorbic acid etc.) and (c) 0.01-7 mass% of one or more kinds of compounds selected from (c-1) a sterol backbone-containing compound (POE phytosterol, POE cholestanol etc.), (c-2) a vitamin E derivative, (c-3) a compound such as a polyglycerol fatty acid ester, a polyoxybutene polyglycerol alkyl ether, a sucrose fatty acid ester etc., and (c-4) a sorbitan backbone-containing compound (polysorbate 60 etc.).
