The present invention relates to a dryer and a dryer control method. The method performs the following process at least twice, the process including a hot air supply step of supplying hot air to articles to be dried in a drum; an intermediate drying step of cooling the articles, and re-supplying hot air to the cooled articles; and a cooling step of stopping the supply of hot air and cooling the articles. Accordingly, the present invention performs repeated drying processes at short time intervals on articles made of polyester fiber materials, in accordance with a proposed algorithm, thus preventing shrinkage of the articles made of polyester fiber materials which may otherwise occur during a general drying process. |
