PURPOSE: A system and a method for offering additional information to an SMS are provided to variously implement additional information about the SMS by defining a new parameter which does not define a standard of 3GPP(Generation Partnership Project). CONSTITUTION: A USIM(Universal Subscriber ID Module) unit(120) stores an SCA(Service Component Architecture) value of an SMS(Short Message Service). A SCA reader(130) establishes the SCA value of USIM unit in booting the communication modem and stores the data in a buffer. An application server program executer(150) moves the application about SMS in transmitting and receiving SMS.
