<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferrule for an optical waveguide, in which damage to an optical waveguide connecting face through repeated connections can be avoided and in which stable optical characteristic can be maintained; and to provide an optical waveguide connector using the ferrule and a method of manufacturing the optical waveguide connector. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The ferrule 100 for an optical waveguide is composed of a front block 10, a rear block 20, a reinforcing member 30, and a refractive index adjustable film F. The optical connector 110 is one using the ferrule 100 for an optical waveguide. The rear block 20 is provided, in a rear end, with an optical waveguide insertion guide 40 for inserting an optical waveguide 2. The optical waveguide insertion guide 40 is composed of a bottom face and two side faces, is formed in a recessed shape protruding from the rear end face of the rear block 20, and is also formed in a manner that both side faces expand outward with a prescribed angle α for the purpose of easily inserting the optical waveguide 2.
