<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new compound having high GRP78 expression-suppressing activity and exhibiting anticancer actions. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The compound represented by chemical formula (1) or a salt thereof is provided. The compound and the salt thereof have much higher GRP78 expression-suppressing activity compared with conventional compounds having GRP78 expression-suppressing activity.
