<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synchronous control device for a continuously variable transmission capable of securely synchronizing tilting of a plurality of power rollers, and the continuously variable transmission. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the synchronous control device 100 for the continuously variable transmission 1, nipping force for nipping the plurality of power rollers 4 between an input disk 2 and an output disk by a nipping means 15 can be applied, and by synchronously tilting the plurality of power rollers 4, a transmission ratio which is a rotating speed ratio between the input disk 2 and output disk can be steplessly changed. The synchronous control device 100 is provided with a control means 66 for executing synchronous control for synchronizing the plurality of power rollers 4 by lowering the nipping force by the nipping means 15.
