<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can suppress deterioration in the cooling effect. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with: a body casing; a cooling object part; a first filter 64; a second filter 65; an air blowing unit 66; a switching unit 67; and a control section 69. A first air intake path 61 and a second air intake path 62, through which the air taken in from outside pass through are provided inside the body casing. The cooling object part is contained in the body casing. The first filter 64 is provided in the first air intake path 61. The second filter 65 is provided inside the second air intake path 62. The air blowing unit 66 generates the flow of air which is taken in from outside and fed to the cooling object part, by going through the first air intake path 61 or the second air intake path 62. The switching unit 67 switches between taking air in from the first air intake path 61 and taking air in from the second air intake path 62.
