PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflecting sheet and a backlight unit, capable of increasing brightness in front, when applied to an immediately below type backlight unit and moreover, is able to uniformize the luminance. SOLUTION: The reflecting sheet 1 includes a sheet-type support 10 and a metal layer 20 provided on one side of the support 10, and a meandering wave-like uneven pattern 21 is formed on the surface of the metal layer 20; and the modal pitch of the uneven pattern 21 is 1.0-20μm, and the average depth is 10% or higher, when the modal pitch is 100%.
