摘要 The source has a clocked inverter current source as a load component that can be controlled by electrical guide parameters plus a control unit determining the behaviour of the source which works with a data processing unit. The difference between the actual value and the preset theoretical value of the welding voltage is determined by a comparator and passed to the data processing unit which evaluates the direction of this difference at fixed intervals. Then it increases or decreases the default value for the current set point for the load component depending on the direction of this difference. The data processing unit, on the basis of the expected welding current as a result, undertakes a new calculation of the set-point of the welding voltage depending on the given idling voltage and internal resistance. It uses the newly calculated voltage in the next interval for evaluating the direction of the difference between this and new actual value. A change in welding current results in constant rate of rise or fall of current, independent of amount of deviation of welding voltage. This leads welding process to working point that agrees with calculated point.
