<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer optical disk with reduced inter-layer interference, and to provide an optical disk device compatible with the multilayer optical disk. <P>SOLUTION: The multilayer optical disk has ruggedness for interfering with light on the surface of an information recording layer.
