<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-pressure fuel pump control device for an engine capable of reducing consumed current, improving durability of a high-pressure fuel pump, and accelerating rise of fuel pressure from start. <P>SOLUTION: This device is provided with a fuel injection valve for directly injecting fuel in a fuel accumulator directly to a combustion chamber, a pressurizing chamber, a plunger pressurizing fuel in the pressurizing chamber, a fuel passage valve provided in the pressurizing chamber, and a high-pressure fuel pump including an actuator operating the passage valve and pressurizing and feeding fuel to the fuel accumulator. The device is provided with a control means for output control of drive signal of the actuator to make delivery quantity of the high-pressure fuel pump variable. The control means starts output of actuator drive signal and set timing for stopping output of the actuator drive signal at timing when fuel pressure in the accumulator rises by prescribed value or grater per unit time in a period from start of engine start until it becomes possible to output the actuator drive signal at prescribed crank angle phase. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
