Press and method for laminating board-shaped workpieces

The press has a flexible membrane (8) dividing a vacuum chamber (7) into an evacuated product half (9) and a pressurized half (10). The membrane is designed to press a work piece directly or indirectly against a lower side of the chamber based on a pressure difference in chamber produced by evacuating of the product half and/or by pressurization of the pressure half. The membrane is fastened to a detachable membrane frame (2) that is handled separately and attached to an upper press half (1). A membrane frame-magazine holds the frame with the membrane as a removable frame. An independent claim is also included for a method for laminating plate-shaped work pieces under pressure and heat.
