The invention describes a device (1) for connecting at least two components of tubular pieces or bags (2, 2') which contain plastic, by means of a sealing and/or gluing method, preferably in the production of bags (2, 2') made of coated plastic textile. The device comprises a transport unit by means of which the bags (2, 2') or tubular pieces can be transported in a direction of movement (z), a heating unit (13, 14) by means of which at least the surfaces of the at least two components to be connected can be heated to above the plastification temperature, and a pressing unit (10, 11, 12) for pressing both components together, said pressing unit connecting directly to the heating unit in the direction of movement of the tubular pieces. By means of the pressing unit, the at least two components can be brought in contact and/or pressed together, as long as the surfaces thereof are still plasticized. A preheating unit (20) is provided with which a heated, gas-phase fluid can be applied to at least one of the at least two components of the bags (2, 2') or tubular pieces, which can be heated to a temperature above the temperature of the surroundings and below the plastification temperature. Said preheating unit (20) is arranged in front of the heating unit (13, 14) in the direction of movement (z) of the bags (2, 2') or tubular pieces. |
