PURPOSE: A nano-structured carbon heating element and, its manufacturing method are provided to produce a carbon heater of wide power consumption range and to improve heating performance. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a nano-structured carbon heating element comprises the steps of molding a carbon material into one shape of helix, mesh or rod; saturating the carbon material with a resin solution in which a catalyst is added; heating the saturated carbon material to a 250-320 deg.C where the molded shape is maintained; repeating the previous second and third steps until the needed resistance of the carbon material is obtained; oxidizing the carbon material at 1500-2000 deg.C under the inert condition if the resistance of the carbon material exceeds the needed resistance; and purifying the material. The resin solution is a solution containing phenol-formaldehyde and nickel diamond powder or graphite powder as a catalyst. |
