PURPOSE: A module and a method for controlling temperature are provided to reduce the number of PLC base slots by integrating an analog input module, a PID control module, and an analog output module into one module. CONSTITUTION: An input unit(100) receives an analog signal which indicates a measuring temperature value of a temperature measuring object, and converts the analog signal into a digital signal. A control unit(200) controls the input unit according to a kind of a signal after determining the kind of the signal inputted in the input unit through a predetermined parameter. The control unit calculates a control value and performs a PID control through the predetermined target value and the measuring temperature value converted into the digital signal. An output unit(300) outputs the control value calculated according to the control of the control unit to outside.
