<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, image formation control method, image formation control program and recording medium for performing printing while efficiently utilizing a plurality of printing means. Ž<P>SOLUTION: While print processing is carried out by controlling operations of a plurality of printing mechanism units 10, 20 for performing print processing onto paper sheets independently respectively and operations of a paper sheet adjustment mechanism unit 30 disposed between the printing mechanism units 10, 20, when an abnormal state occurs with operation stop in any one of the printing mechanism units 10, 20, a print system 1 decides whether or not the print processing being executed is performed while using only the printing mechanism unit 10 or 20 under normal operating and if possible, the normal printing mechanism unit 10 or 20 is used to continue print processing of a print job in which abnormality occurs.
