The invention can be used for cooling air in refrigerating plants with a relatively small-capacity refrigerator. The inventive air cooling method involves concentrating coolant vapours, cooling and condensing said vapours and throttling the thus condensed coolant. The coolant is evaporated by exchanging heat with a cold holdover which is cooled to a temperature lower than a lowest preselected air cooling temperature. Once the coolant circulation has been over, air is cooled by heat transfer to the cold holdover. An air cooling device comprises a closed circuit, provided with a unit for increasing the coolant vapour concentration, a condenser, a throttling unit and an evaporator in the form of a cold holdover. The cold holdover is arranged in the upper part of the closed cavity containing air to be cooled and is made of a high heat-transfer metal. A finning is made on the outer surface of the holdover. The invention makes it possible to reduce electricity consumption.
|
