摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease a direct-current resistance at a low temperature in a capacitor having a polarizable electrode layer. SOLUTION: This polarizable electrode includes a collector 1A, and a polarizable electrode layer 2A provided on a surface of the collector 1A and having a thickness in a range from 5-130μm, wherein the polarizable electrode layer 2A includes an activated carbon of which the average particle diameter is in a range from 2-5μm, a conductivity providing agent, and a binder. The binder includes a first binder and a second binder, wherein the first binder includes at least one of ammonium salts of a carboxymethylcellulose, etc., the second binder includes at least one of latexes, etc., the content of the first binder is not more than 5 wt.% relative to the total weight of the polarizable electrode layer 2A, and the content of the second binder is in a range from 1-5 wt.% to the total weight of polarizable electrode layer 2A. The content of the conductivity providing agent is in a range from 5-20 wt.% relative to that of the activated carbon. This allows the layer thickness of water-soluble binder adhering to the activated carbon to be reduced, and the direct-current resistance in the low-temperature condition of the capacitor to be lowered.
