PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an opening and closing structure of an inspection lid of a showcase which allows stable movement of the showcase without easily coming off of the inspection lid even when external force of vibration or the like is applied to the showcase when moving the showcase, and which improves operability in maintenance by allowing the inspection lid to be easily opened and closed by one operation in the maintenance of a device in a mechanical chamber, and an opened state to be held without completely removing the whole inspection lid from an aperture. SOLUTION: In the opening and closing structure of an inspection lid of a showcase, the mechanical chamber is provided under a showcase body having an opening for putting in and out merchandise and formed of an insulated wall, and the front opening of the mechanical chamber is closed so as to be freely opened and closed by the inspection lid, wherein a leaf-spring hook part 12 formed by bending the halfway of a plate in the state of an elongate belt projects from an upper part of the inspection lid to the back surface side, and an engaging protruding piece engaged by the hook part is provided at the upper edge of the front opening of the mechanical chamber.
