<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing technology capable of correctly managing timing of writing image data in a volatile memory and saving them to the volatile memory. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An IMH 61 sets an engine descriptor to an engine unit 3, sets a virtual descriptor to a virtual video input driver 71a, and controls storage of image data written in an MEM 15 into an HDD 14. The virtual video input driver 71a makes the image data written in the MEM 15 to be stored in the HDD 14 by handling occurrence of interrupt relating to PCI direct access when the engine unit 3 writes the image data into the MEM 15 by the PCI direct access in accordance with set content of the engine descriptor.
