<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head suspension assembly and a storing medium driving unit which can increase a displacement magnitude of a head slider. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Arm pieces 65 and 66 are bent depending on the constriction and extension of piezoelectric elements 68 and 69. The arm pieces 65 and 66 have point contacts with the side 67 of a head slider 23 by spherical surfaces 73 set on the other ends. A driving force works on the head slider 23 from the arm pieces 65 and 66 based on the flexion of the arm pieces 65 and 66. At this moment, the flexion of the arm pieces 65 and 66 is not restricted, and the arm pieces 65 and 66 can secure sufficient lengths. The arm pieces 65 and 66 can deform with a large deformation volume so that the displacement magnitude of the head slider 23 is increased. Moreover, the arm pieces 65 and 66 designate the direction of the driving force along a virtual plane 74 including a rear surface 63 of the head slider 23 so that the displacement of the head slider 23 is regulated in a direction parallel with a rotational axis RX, that is, in the vertical direction orthogonal to the virtual plane 74.
