PURPOSE: A post-color space conversion processing system and methods are provided to minimize a visual error which is recognized by a user while minimize power consumption of a backlight unit. CONSTITUTION: A post-color space conversion processing system is composed of a display(120), a backlight, a gamut unit, illumination determination unit, and a scaling unit. The back light(122) has a lighting level which is adjustable, and the gamut unit map image data of a first gamut to image data of a second gamut. The illumination determination unit is set image data inputted to the system. A scaling unit for scaling image data values as a function of backlight illumination from the illumination determination unit, saturation of the image data values and out-of gamut correction.
