PURPOSE: A light emitting display and a method for driving the same are provided to prevent the brightness difference between each pixel cell by controlling a size of a driving power at each section, and detecting a threshold voltage of the driving transistor and compensating it. CONSTITUTION: In a light emitting display and a method for driving the same, a shift register includes a clock transmission line and stages. At least two clock transmission lines transmit two clock pulse of which phases are different from each other. A plurality of stages receive the clock pulse from a clock transmission line and outputs an output signal in order. Each stage includes a node controller, a pull-up switching element, a first noise removal parts, and a second noise removal parts.
