<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door handle which incorporates the whole or a part of a noncontact IC card-compatible electronic lock module for unlocking or locking an electronic lock. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The door handle with a noncontact IC card-compatible electronic lock comprises a read-in portion 40 reading characteristic information recorded in a noncontact IC card, an electronic certification communication base 60 checking and processing the read-in characteristic information, a storage portion storing the processed characteristic information, a communication portion 30 sending and receiving the characteristic information processed in the electronic certification communication base 60 through a network, a control portion 80 performing unlocking or locking based on instructions from the electronic certification communication base 60, a lock portion 90 controlled by the control portion 80, and an electricity storage portion 50 supplying power to at least one of the read-in portion 40, the electronic certification communication base 60, the storage portion, the communication portion 30, the control portion 80, and the lock portion 90. An outside or inside door handle incorporates at least one of the read-in portion 40, the electronic certification communication base 60, the storage portion, the communication portion 30, the control portion 80, the lock portion 90, and the electricity storage portion 50.
