摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection apparatus in which energy loss is decreased. <P>SOLUTION: A piston 80 which is reciprocally slidable in the inside of a piston guide cylinder 70 in the axial direction includes a cavity 84 at a piezo driver 90 side. When the piezo driver 90 is energized, the chip end 961 of a convex part 96 of a pressing member 95 presses a bottom wall 83 forming the cavity 84 of the piston 80 by the driving power. With the pressing by piston 80, when the fuel pressure in a pressure control chamber 201 is increased through a pressurizing chamber 202, and a communication pathway 203, a needle 30 moves to the direction to open a valve against a second compressive coil spring 61. Since the piston 80 includes the cavity 84, a length of a sliding part axial direction is secured and movable mass is decreased as well. Therefore, any fuel leak from the sliding part of the piston 80 and the cylinder 70 can be prevented, and an inertia resistance generated at the piston 80 can be decreased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
