<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable electric rice cooker always allowing stable and constant power control by preventing influence by distortion of input supply voltage when using an inner pot made of non-metal such as an earthen pot as well as metal. <P>SOLUTION: The electric rice cooker includes: a rice cooking heating means of electromagnetic induction heating type for heating the inner pot; an input current detecting means for detecting input current of a power circuit for supplying power to the rice cooking heating means; an input voltage detecting means for detecting input voltage of the power circuit; and a rice cooking control means for controlling the power supplied to the rice cooking heating means so that a predetermined output is obtained by adjusting the input current. A distortion ratio computing means is provided for computing a ratio of distortion of the detected input current. An input current compensation means is provided for compensating a value of the input current, which is detected by an input current detecting circuit, according to the computed ratio of distortion.
