PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover opening and closing mechanism without causing any backlash between an external case having a disk housing part and a disk cover opening and closing the housing part in an imaging apparatus with an optical disk. SOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with a table rotation device 48 rotating a disk detachably loaded on a turntable 46, an optical pickup 49 in which information signals of a picture are recorded, an external housing case having a disk housing part 47 in which the turntable 46 is arranged, a disk cover 50 attached rotatably to the external housing case, and a cover opening and closing mechanism to lock or unlock the disk cover closing the disk housing part, the cover opening and closing mechanism is provided with a fixed lug 56 provided integrally with the disk cover 50, and a lock lug 61 supported rotatably by the base plate fixed to the external housing case, the fixed lug 61 is projected in the direction being almost orthogonal to a flat plane part 50a of the disk cover 50, a convex part projected in the direction of the disk cover is provided at a top end of the fixed lug 56.
