PURPOSE: A traffic signal assembly for a crosswalk is provided to reduce power consumption by emitting the light only when a pedestrian takes the crosswalk at night. CONSTITUTION: A traffic signal post is formed on the road near the crosswalk. A signal lamp is formed in one side of the traffic signal post. A light emitting unit(20) emits the light in the traffic signal post and includes a night discriminating unit(22) for operating only at night. A human sensor(30) senses the pedestrian taking the crosswalk in one side of the traffic signal post. A controller(21) supplies the power to the light emitting unit when the signal lamp displays a walk signal and the human is sensed. An auxiliary light emitting unit emits the light around the traffic signal and is formed in one side of the traffic signal post. |
