<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silencer for a wind instrument in which a high silencing effect is obtained with natural performance feeling by maintaining original tones, pitches and sound quality of the wind instrument, without giving a player fatigue and without disturbing embouchure. <P>SOLUTION: A silencer 22 and a sub-silencer 24 are formed in a 3-dimensional mesh and porous cylindrical shape in which a labyrinth form cavity is made continuous by crossing mesh threads at random. A silencer unit 20 is made by inserting three silencers 22 in a holder 23. The silencer unit 20 is mounted in an air hole 5b between a mouth piece 4a and an octave key hole 8 so as to be freely removed. A sub-silencer unit 21 is made by inserting three sub-silencers 24 in a holder 25. The sub-silencer unit 21 is mounted on the air hole 5b between a first tone hole 8 and a second tone hole 11 so as to be freely removed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
