PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication system and a radio communication method capable of, even when a position between a transmission array antenna and a reception array antenna for performing short-range MIMO transmission deviates from a desired opposite state, making a phase difference between propagation channels close to a desired value.SOLUTION: A radio communication system having a transmission array antenna and a reception array antenna includes: a radome including a dielectric layer arranged between the transmission array antenna and the reception array antenna whose dielectric constant changes depending on intensity of an applied electric field and a pair of electrodes for applying an electric field to the dielectric layer; a phase difference estimation part for estimating a phase difference between propagation channels formed between each transmission antenna element of the transmission array antenna and each reception antenna element of the reception array antenna; and a control part for controlling an electric field to be applied to the dielectric layer on the basis of the phase difference.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
