<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting control system capable of reducing erroneous detection of a moving object or the like other than a human in controlling a luminaire group by detecting a human by using an image sensor, and carrying out high-reliability lighting control. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This lighting system includes: a light source; an image sensor detecting an image; and a control part controlling the lighting of the light source in response to image information from the image sensor. The lighting system is also provided with a storage part extracting image information of a specific region from the image information of the image sensor to be stored. The control part is structured to control the lighting of the light source by tracking luminance variation generated in a specific region from the output of the image sensor and the output of the storage part to calculate the control content of the lighting of the light source based on the luminance change having occurred in the specific region.
