<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise in imaging without enlarging a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus and especially without narrowing an imaging space gap. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A piezoelectric element is attached to at least either of an exterior cover and an exterior cover attachment member, and an electric circuit for converting a current generated from the piezoelectric element by the vibration of the exterior cover into heat by resistance so as to convert the vibrational energy from an electric energy to a heat energy, attenuate the vibration of the exterior cover and reduce the noise generated from the exterior cover.
