The present invention relates to a method for controlling a dual clutch transmission and an apparatus for the same. The method for controlling a dual clutch transmission according to the present invention comprises: a step of receiving a transmission start command; a step of engaging a target gear with a second input shaft in accordance with the transmission start command; and a step of releasing first clutch torque applied to a first clutch in connection with a first input shaft and increasing second clutch torque applied to a second clutch in connection with the second shaft to engine torque, wherein the second clutch torque is determined by applying a target slip factor to a predefined control location of the second clutch. According to the present invention, rapid shift without a latch feel is enabled by applying the optimal torque for controlling the clutch when a shift to the target gear is performed in the dual clutch transmission. |
