<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery, and the lithium secondary battery containing the same which improve a battery capacity maintenance rate and charge/discharge efficiency significantly to solve a conventional problem. <P>SOLUTION: The negative electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery includes a graphite core for absorbing and discharging lithium, a pore extending from an outer surface of the graphite core to an inside, a metal nano particle dispersed inside the pore, and amorphous carbon filling an inside of the pore. Therefore, metallic negative electrode active material is used as the negative electrode active material, and thus, very high theoretical charging capacity can be achieved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
