<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer optical film which has superior surface smoothness and thickness uniformity, and heat resistance, has a high contrast ratio when the screen of a liquid crystal display device is obliquely viewed, has a small color shift amount when the screen is obliquely viewed, and further provides uniform screen display and a method thereof, a polarizing plate using the same, and a liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the multilayer optical film having specific characteristics includes a process of laminating a cyclic olefin-based resin film and a vinyl aromatic resin film by a lamination method to obtain a rolled film having the cyclic olefin-based resin layer and vinyl aromatic resin layer laminated, and a process of uniaxially drawing the obtained rolled film orthogonally to the length of the film. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
