RADIO RELAY STATION, MULTIHOP CELLULAR GATEWAY, MOBILE STATION, AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a communication system selecting the optimal radio relay station which provides a cellular network management function.

SOLUTION: A multihop type cellular radio system is provided with: a transmission/reception control means (a radio interface part 21 and a control message processing part 22) which is a radio relay station for relaying communication between a mobile station and a multihop cellular gateway connected to a core network and for controlling transmission/reception of a control message; a load measurement part 25 for measuring a load of a self station; a cellular network management station selection part 24 for determining whether a cellular network management function is provided to the mobile station based on the load of the self station measured by the load measurement part 25 when a connection request is received as the control message; and a cellular network management part 27 which provides the cellular network management function when it is determined that the cellular network management function is provided.
