The protective cover i.e. reciprocally opened flexible hose (1), has multiple binding-tapes (3) arranged at a distance from each other in a longitudinal direction of an elongated object. The binding-tapes are interconnected over circumference after covering the object with a covering material for fixedly enclosing the object with the protective cover. Tearing-perforations (6) are provided over the entire length of the cover. The tearing-perforations are arranged in a predetermined axial distance to each other. The binding-tapes are attached to the tearing-perforations.
