FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: group of inventions concerns medicine and aims at determining optical characteristics and oxygenation level of cerebral gray matter tissues. Radiation back-scattered by cerebral gray matter tissue and laser light passed therethrough and back-scattered by white matter tissue is recorded at several wavelengths separately. Their relation enables to derive an absorption index and oxygenation level of gray matter tissue at several wavelengths. A device comprises an optically connected picosecond laser, a light guide probe emitter, a light guide detector of scattered radiation, a detector representing a photoelectric multiplier based on a microchannel plate electrically connected with a lock pulse generator and a data processing unit including a strobe integrator with a strobbing window 100 ps. The data processing unit is added with a strobe integrator with a strobbing window 1000 ps. The strobe integrator with the strobbing window 1000 ps is connected with the strobe delay 100 ps relative to the strobe-integrator with the strobbing window 100 ps. ^ EFFECT: method and device allow dividing scattering signals from various cerebral tissues and improving accuracy of determining their optical characteristics. ^ 2 cl, 1 dwg |
