摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring system capable of raising the photographing ratio of an image to be monitored which passes a photographing area. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The monitoring system 1 includes: a tag device 2 held by a monitoring object (a pupil); and sensing devices 3 arranged in the school route, etc., of the pupil. The sensing devices 3 includes: readers 8 for wirelessly communicating with the tag device 2; cameras 7 for photographing the image of the pupil; and controllers 9 for linking the detection of the tag device 2 by the reader 8 with the photographing of a pupil image by the camera 7. The areas for photographing the image of the monitoring object by the cameras are set to be smaller than a passage detection area for detecting the passage of the tag device by the reader. The tag device 2 determines whether or not the position of the tag device 2 is within the photographing area on the basis of the RSSI intensity of wireless communication with the sensing devices 3, and sets the priority of the wireless communication with the sensing device 3 within the photographing area to be higher than the priority of the wireless communication with the sensor 3 out of the photographing area.
