<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To synthesize faithful musical sound reflecting distribution of loss inside a wind instrument. <P>SOLUTION: The musical sound synthesizer 100 synthesizes musical sound of the wind instrument including a wind body section B. A shape designation section 36 designates shape variables X[1] to X[I] according to each shape of I unit sections U[1] to U[I], in which the wind body section B is segmented in an axis direction, for each unit section U according to operation to the input device 14. A loss specifying section 46 specifies a loss coefficient g[i] of the unit section U[i] for each of the I unit sections U[1] to U[I].
