<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric cutting tool improved in user operability. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The electric cutting tool 100 comprises a housing 25 storing a circular saw blade 1 and a driving section for rotatively driving the circular saw blade 1, a surface plate 30 disposed below the housing 25 and pivotably linking the housing 25 via a pivot 41 at one end thereof, a guide link 42 attached to the other end of the surface plate 30 and standing along a circumferential surface of the housing 25, and a fixing means 45 fixing the guide link 42, at a predetermined position in its longitudinal direction, to the housing 25, wherein a recessed part 53 for storing a part of the guide link 42 is formed in the housing 25.
