PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drive an electrophoretic display device with low power consumption. SOLUTION: A drive circuit for an electrophoretic display device includes a control part 710 for (i) controlling the writing of an image signal in a memory circuit 25 of a pixel 20 based on a high-speed clock, and (ii) controlling the operation including the supply of a first potential S1 or a second potential S2 to a pixel electrode 21 by the switching control of a switch circuit 110 of the pixel 20 based on a low-speed clock.
