The mechanism has a striking plate (1) in shape of hook or ring, equipped with a rectilinear threaded part (3) presented in a form of rod, and cooperating with a nut (6) fixedly mounted with respect to a bonnet such that an axial position of the plate with respect to the bonnet is adjusted by rotation of the bonnet. A driving element (13) is displaceable in axial translation between a locked position in which rotation of the element with respect to the nut is prevented and an unlocked position in which the element is driven freely in rotation to regulate the axial position of the plate.
