<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection device for a smoke sensor facilitating attaching or detaching a bag protecting the smoke sensor from dust, and preventing the smoke sensor from being damaged when the bag is detached. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This protection device for the smoke sensor is used to protect the smoke sensor 2 installed on a ceiling 1 from the dust has:a vinyl bag 6 covering the smoke sensor 2; a rubber band 7 having elasticity for fixing the vinyl bag 6 covering the smoke sensor 2 to the smoke sensor 2; and a string 8 having a tip part connected to the rubber ring 7. A worker on a floor face 10 pulls down a base end part of the string 8 hanging from the smoke sensor 2, so that the vinyl bag 6 covering the smoke sensor 2 is detached from the smoke sensor 2.
