The unit has a friction clutch (6) i.e. double clutch, and a torsional vibration damper (8) whose output part (18) is rotatable against effect of energy storages (16) with respect to an input part (11). The output part has loading areas (74) for loading the storages, where the areas extend in an axial direction. The areas engage into an intermediate space between the storages in the axial direction. A sealing device is arranged between the input and output parts in a radial direction. A tubular base of the output part exhibits a diameter that is greater than effective diameter of the storages.
